SW Application Lead Job in Austin 78759, Texas US
- Provide functional expertise, technical expertise and leadership on high to medium complexity projects and initiatives - Oversees and drives the technical phases of projects within specific application and/or technology area.
- Provides L3 technical application expertise; Oversight and accountability for resolution of outages in coordination with other groups - Oversee future implementations and/or upgrades and ensure that support standards are in place - Drive continuous improvement of technology; includes development of application roadmaps, standardization of business processes - Ability to keep up with trends, relevant system development technologies within application and/or technology domain - BS or MS in Computer Management Information Systems or other related degree.
- Must have 8+ years as a Software Engineer or Technical Lead - Must have 5+ years designing/developing distributed, scalable, highly-available applications- Must have advanced knowledge of Microsoft web technologies is expected, including ASP.NET, C#, Java Script, HTML, XML, web services, SQL Server, ETL, database modeling tools and/or database interactions.
- Experience with source control systems (eg CVS or Perforce) - Ability to conduct complex systems analysis and translate user requirements into business solutions.
- Ability to plan and deliver cost effective results.
- Must be able to effectively communicate and manage on and off-shore development teams - Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, conflict resolution, and customer service skills - Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high volume, deadline-driven environment - Ability to balance multiple demands and work both independently and as part of a team - Excellent project management skills with the ability to multi-task, delegate and prioritize tasks.
