SITE LOGISTICS/TRANSPORTATION MANAGER Job in Sulphur 70663, Louisiana US
Dupre Logistics is currently seeking a Site Logistics/Transportation Manager to add to our Sulphur LA team.

Position Description The Site Logistics/Transportation Manager works in a fast paced environment for our Dedicated Contract Carriage customers.
This manager is based at the hub of activity in our business unit and is the direct manager of a field operation for our customer.
This person will report to the Senior Logistics/Transportation Manager and is responsible for instituting and implementing Dupres best practices, developing site personnel, and achieving financial targets for the assigned location.
Our Frontline Manager position works with a team and requires relationship development with drivers, support staff, management and customers.
This position is located in Sulphur, LA and will support multiple locations in the surrounding area.
· Build & Maintain Customer Relationships & Communications · Manage hiring, coaching, training, performance management· Direct supervision of professional drivers · Manage Asset Maintenance and repair· Monitor Risk & Safety Management Performance· P & L Management: meeting or exceeding financial goals · Continuous Improvement: manage best practices & work processes · Monitor Area Service Performance The position will initiate with a 60 to 90 day training process which could require significant travel.
A successful candidate will need to have flexibility to accommodate this critical orientation step.
Job Qualifications · 3-5 years of management experience in LTL/TL, solid bulk/chemical transportation, Hazmat, Logistics/Transportation Management with proven track record, preferred· College Degree in Logistics or related business field, preferred but not required· Strong customer service orientation with an operational or industrial background required.
· Ability to multi-task and make informed business decisions· High level of self motivation, competitive spirit, and availability as customer demands dictate· High level of organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent computer skills (Database, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) We have an excellent compensation package: competitive salary, insurance, retirement, training, and exciting opportunities for advancement.
