Job Description Beckman Coulter is looking for a SharePoint Developer to assist in the ongoing development, administration, expansion, and evolution of a MOSS 2007 environment.

The SharePoint developer will be involved in a variety of tasks related to the development, support, and maintenance of SharePoint.

Development activities include the design of company-wide or stand-alone SharePoint sites, aggregation of content and applications into SharePoint, and integration with other enterprise systems and/or 3rd party plug-ins.

This position will also provide technical support for SharePoint end-users and other members of the IT support team.

Essential Behaviors and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: SharePoint Design & Development Translate requirements from users and other stakeholders into optimal, easy-to-use solutions within SharePoint.

Design and develop SharePoint master pages, templates and layouts.

Build custom web parts to aggregate content and services within SharePointIntegration Integrate existing company-wide applications, databases, and other data sources with SharePoint.

Evaluate and integrate 3rd party plug-ins with SharePoint Test Test custom and off-the-shelf functionality to ensure reliable operation of SharePoint Site Administration Design and maintain SharePoint groups, permissions and access rights Support Diagnose and resolve issues related to SharePoint sites and provide general end-user support as needed Qualifications and ExperienceBachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience 2+ years experience in application development with strong experience in Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (as an application development platform); Visual Studio, .NET Framework, and ASP Strong object oriented programming background Experience developing custom SharePoint components, including workflows, web parts, features and templates Microsoft SQL Server 2005 database development including table design and stored procedures A working knowledge of firewalls and networks Must work well in a collaborative team environment and be willing to work off-hours as needed Strong verbal and written communication skills Were Better TogetherWere Better Together collaboration across all business centers and functions-fundamental to our success.
