Overview: The Senior Industrial Engineer will support the North America costing and marketing teams in quoting of new programs and business.
This position reports directly to Cost Manager and interacts with multiple levels / positions in sales, marketing, finance, manufacturing, purchasing and engineering.
Responsibilities & Qualifications: The Senior Industrial Engineer will prepare cost estimates, capacity analysis, and profit and loss statements for new business quotes.
He/she will evaluate and determine cost savings for localization, design change, footprint change, material change, etc. The qualified candidate will validate original cost estimates to actual costs for launched programs, prepare customer cost breakdowns to support quoted price and load and update AMS/SAP system for BOM and process sheets/routings.
He/she will maintain on time delivery and accurate cost estimates to the marketing department.
The Senior Industrial Engineer should be able to analyze and bridge cost estimates and cost savings clearly with finance, sales and marketing teams.
The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of Industrial engineering methods and techniques, cost accounting and financial analysis.
Experience with injection molding, progressive stamping, and assembly processes (manual and automated) is a strong plus.
Must have excellent Excel skills and SAP experience.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering Experience: 7+ yrs Industrial Engineering role with significant quoting and process development experience for a large manufacturing company.
Automotive and Lean Mfg experience a plus.
