GENERAL PURPOSEThe SAP ABAP Developer will be responsible for the design and implementation of custom developed solutions related to supporting Milestone AV Technologies business processes.  This will include building custom ECC reports, writing custom code in User Exits to support Milestone specific business needs, providing IDOC support for external communications such as EDI and UPS, creating custom RFC function modules for external system calls, and creating or updating RF screens leveraged through SAP Console.DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES* The SAP ABAP Developer will be responsible for the development lifecycle within the SAP ECC development environment from defining requirements with business representatives, design, development and testing of required objects, to final production migration.* Design of how to leverage existing SAP capabilities (eg configuration, LIS/SIS) in conjunction with custom objects to best provide the desired business processes as requested by the business owners in an efficient manner.* Work with Business Owners to understand their perspective of what function is to be provided combined with fundamental knowledge of the ECC transactional system.* Serve as primary resource on development of impromptu requests for ongoing projects and new applications.* Document all applications or processes in a central repository defined by the management.* Work with other team members to develop, document, and implement processes correcting deficiencies, improving reliability or increasing efficiency* Understand workplace hazards and take steps to proactively prevent and report hazards or injuries in the workplace. Cooperate in Safety Programs, initiatives, and investigations. * Demonstrate our five core values of Integrity, Customer Responsiveness, Innovation, Passionate Contribution & Empowerment and Continuous Improvement * Other duties deemed necessary to support the Company’s business operationsJOB REQUIREMENTSEssential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: * Must have five (5) years of SAP ABAP experience with one (1) year of ECC 6.0 experience* Have a thorough understanding of the following development tools* Building custom reports leveraging ALV output* Building custom RFC Function Modules (BAPIs) for external communication needs* Leveraging SAP provided User Exits to insert custom code to support Milestone specific business processes* Building or enhancing existing IDOC structures to support external communication via EDI or similar integration technologies* Building or enhancing RF screens through SAP Console or ITS Mobile* Building or enhancing SmartForm and SAPScript output* Good understanding of SAP modules in use (FI/CO, MM/PP, WM/IM, QM, SD, LE)* Experience working with SAP CRM, APO/SCM programming is desired, but not required* Experience with Adobe interactive forms, portals, and WEB DYNPRO a plus* Experience with Workflow and LSMW desired Minimum Education and Experience Required:* Bachelors degree in Engineering, Information Technology or related field and a minimum of five (5) years working experience in various business areas; or combination of relevant education and experience* Minimum of five (5) years experience working in the SAP ABAP programming area* Proficient in the use of personal computers, internet and Microsoft Office suite of software including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook (or related e-mail system); Experience with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio to document project and implementation methodology deliverables Preferred Qualifications:* Analytical and problem solving skills with demonstrated ability to analyze technical information * Experience with the full project lifecycle and associated processes (requirements definition, design, development, test, train, deploy, support)* Self-starter with the ability to manage to tight timelines* Positive, energetic attitude, and initiative; Strong work ethic* Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively tailor conversations with staff of varying technical experience and management levels to convey the process, expectations, and needs to the project team* Ability to work in a team environment, and leverage additional resources as needed* Ability to demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and to appropriately prioritize workload based upon organization or department needs* Must possess high degree of professionalism and ability to handle confidential informationWORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required (for the majority of the working day) to sit and make coordinated movements of the fingers for data entry on a keyboard.* General office environment * Regular shop assembly/distribution center environment (no air conditioning)* May require regular ground travel to other company facilities within local metropolitan area* Long-distance or air travel as needed – not to exceed 5% travelNote: Nothing in this job description restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.
