Retention/Re-Entry Specialist Job in Mesa 85206, Arizona US
Everest College Phoenix - Mesa, AZ campus Req#09-1930 Summary: Develops and executes campaigns directed at re-entry students.
Adheres to procedures and processes per policy.
Participates in campus initiatives to retain students.
Job Responsibilities: Develops proactive and consistent re-entry campaigns which include mail, email and phone blasts to achieve established re-entry goals.
Develops, maintains and tracks qualified prospective re-entry student base.
Schedules and conducts daily appointments / interviews with prospective re-entry students that results in the students re-entry process completed in one visit.
Re-enters students who meet eligibility requirements as published in the college catalog.
Completes all required forms for re-entry.
Schedules the business office and financial aid appointments and follows up to ensure financial aid packaging is complete and student is registered for class.
Follows up on all prospective re-entry students who fail to show for appointments and/or interview or fail to complete the re-entry process.
Establishes a process to ensure that walk-in re-entry students receive the same high level of customer service as those prospective re-entry students with appointments.
Achieves quarterly re-entry goals.
Maintains a tracking system to measure weekly, monthly and quarterly progress.
Keeps all required re-entry lists, records and reports current and accurate.
Responsible for participating in weekly teleconferences and submission of weekly required statistical reports.
Plan, implement and direct programs and services that assist students to continue, and complete their academic programs.
Coordinate specific programs to assist students with academic, social, and personal issues that may interfere with their academic programs.
Provide administrative coordination, support, and advice to student support programs, such as the Student Ambassador program.
Provide short-term advice to students and at risk students; update and maintain appropriate list of outside agencies for counseling and support referrals as warranted.
Develop a referral/mentoring group for students seeking help or needing assistance.
Develop and maintain clubs, organizations, and special events for students.
Assist with graduation ceremony and student appreciation days.
Prepare and send out letters to students that can not be contacted by phone.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements: Requires a bachelors degree with 3 to 5 years experience.
Requires 3-4 years of related experience in higher education.
Performs responsibilities in a professional and ethical manner actively participates in maintaining a work environment that is respectful, positive, and safe; while adhering to company policies, practices and initiatives, as well as EEO and other state and federal regulations.
Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office environment that requires normal safety precautions.
The typical work involves sitting most of the time; walking, lifting, bending, standing, ect. may be minimally required.
