Research Scientist Center for Health Economics, Epidemiology & Science Policy (CHEP) (Positions available in Europe and US) UBC is a global pharmaceutical (and medical device) services organization that combines deep scientific knowledge with broad execution expertise across the lifecycle continuum.

We deliver evidence of value through strategic and scientific services in Health Economics, Health Science Policy, Health Outcomes Research, Systematic Literature Reviews & Meta-Analyses, Epidemiology & Risk Management, and Pricing & Reimbursement.
Our evidence-based solutions also include: Data-Resources & Analytics, Health Care Data Capture, Life Sciences Training, Investigator Services, Patient Programs, Clinical Trials & Registries, IVR & Web Systems for Clinical Trials, and Electronic Data Capture.
Responsibilities associated with this position include: Designing and conducting studies to evaluate the value of new health care interventions, including pharmaceuticals and medical devices – studies may involve decision analytic models (including Markov models/Monte Carlo simulations), prospective data from clinical trials, and retrospective claims data Developing business and fostering client relations Presentation of research, including dissemination at scientific conferences and submission of manuscripts to peer-reviewed scientific journals Supervising mid-level staff Job requirements: PhD in economics with ≥ one year of experience; MS ≥ seven years of experience working within the pharmaceutical or medical device industry or performing applied economic studies in the academic or consulting environment Advanced technical skills in econometrics or decision analytic modeling Ability to communicate effectively with peers, mid-level staff, and clients Demonstrated expertise in the field, including publications in peer reviewed journals, is required The Health Care Analytics values a team-oriented, collaborative approach in its work.
