We are currently seeking a Research Director to manage and grow a line of business.

Position Summary: The Research Director builds and leads a marketing performance measurement and research team, developing business opportunities and executing projects.

S/he manages the execution of marketing measurement and research programs, with the responsibility to design and implement robust measurement and consumer insights strategies for suppliers and retailers.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the curiosity, flexibility and adaptability necessary to drive innovation and growth.

Essential Functions (Key Results Areas): · Generate, sustain, and expand client relationships and develop business opportunities to reach an annual revenue and profit target· Develop proposals and budgets to win new business· Hire, train, and retain motivated staff· Manage day-to-day operations to deliver on multiple projects (+50 annually), including budgets, project management, workflow and staffing· Satisfy and exceed clients expectations for research and measurement services· Proactively identify opportunities for problem solving and innovation, and create customer-centric solutions· Manage vendor relationships and partner with Legal and IT departments to assure compliance and execution· Manage team resources and workload to assure that projects and client relationships meet financial goals Training/Experience/Skills Required: · 6-8 years professional market research experience· Ability to build relationships with clients and generate sales and revenue growth· 2-3 years team leadership experience in the market research and measurement/analytics field· Expert at translating qualitative and quantitative data into business intelligence· Advanced understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies· Execution of qualitative and quantitative research studies· Strong working knowledge of statistics· Proven track record of successfully executing marketing research and measurement programs· Technical expertise with database, analytical and/or statistical software· Experience in consumer marketing measurement (CPG, retail, healthcare, pharmaceuticals)· Bachelors degree required, graduate degree in social sciences, marketing, market research or economics preferred Working Conditions/Physical Demands: Freedom of movement on a regular basis.

Handling light materials and supplies.

May spend periods operating a computer, requiring hand-eye coordination and finger dexterity; and communicating face-to-face, on the telephone and in writing, requiring strong verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.

Periodic physical activity required including walking, climbing, bending, standing, pushing, pulling, lifting and stooping.
