Jackson Foundation (HJF) is seeking a Research Assistant for the Enterics Diseases Department located at the Naval Medical Research Center (NMRC) in Silver Spring, MD. Incumbent will be responsible for providing laboratory support to characterize intestinal, systemic humoral, and immune responses in mice and human volunteers immunized with candidate enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli (ETEC) vaccines.
Coordinate the development and standardization of immunological assays for evaluation of ETEC specific mucosal and systemic immune responses.
Requires a Bachelors in Biology/Microbiology, experience conducting ELISA assays for measuring specific antibodies in serum or stool specimens, and ELISPOT assays.
Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and 2-4 years lab experience.
