The Research Analyst is expected to have strong quantitative research skills and be an analytical and strategic thinker who goes beyond managing research to strategically impact clients businesses.

They should attack business issues by focusing on quantitative analysis and integrating business and cultural trends and insights where appropriate.

A successful Research Analyst will form strong relationships with AMPs Account Service group and become a trusted and respected member of the Consumer Insights team.

Their passion for great work and contributions to the research process should result in delivering business-building ideas and insightful perspective on consumers and brands.

Reports to: VP, Consumer Insights Assignment Tenure: Usually no less than 2 years and probably no more than 4 years Experience: 3-5 years in the quantitative research or analytics field Travel: Up to 20% travel expected PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS Become conversant in AMP Agency tools quantitative and qualitative methodologies, creative briefs, brand essence and identity and brand positioning Develop compelling presentations, reports and analysis of quantitative data Successfully brief Account and Creative teams with consumer and business analysis, strategic fodder and target consumer profiles Assist the Account and Creative teams throughout the development, ideation and reporting process by providing analysis and strategic thinking Assist the Account team in developing selling strategies for agency work and provide appropriate research support Fully understand the quantitative (and preferably qualitative) research processes, be able to recommend and execute a number of quantitative and qualitative methodologies, be able to analyze the results, summarize them for presentations, and confidently communicate the information effectively Write POVs, blog entries, and research proposals as well as develop research screeners, surveys and discussion guides Provide solid experience and support with quantitative research projects such as online surveys, in-person surveys, multiple-wave measurement studies and be able to program surveys using survey publishing tools Have experience with SNAP or other survey software Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel is a must Oversee qualitative and quantitative research projects from start to finish Manage vendor and client relationships Be able to moderate qualitative and quantitative research Analyze data and draw conclusions from research projects and create a summary report for presentation Understand fully how to find, interpret and present trends and secondary research Compiles and analyzes secondary research Monitors cultural and social trends that affect the clients business Monitors and compiles industry trend information for internal team Help create presentations on trends, research findings, ad and concept testing Have a desire for presenting information in front of internal groups and clients using PowerPoint and other presentation tools Have strong and effective writing and presentation skills Build strong agency team relationships and begin to build client relationships Begin to manage a client counterpart relationship Hone written and verbal persuasion ability with internal agency teams be able to clearly state your point of view and discuss projects with Account and Creative teams Bring added value to your team in the form of new thinking Provide suggestions for added-value projects for clients in addition to day-to-day responsibilities Have a keen understanding of what Consumer Insights can offer the Agency and its clients TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES Advanced Moderator Training (like RIVA) if necessary Advanced Qualitative and Quantitative training Burke Institute Training Relevant conferences or training programs specific to assignment Alloy Inc. is a publicly traded company, NASDAQ symbol ALOY.
