Relief Operator Job in Avenel, New Jersey US
Relief Operator - Rahway, NJPQ Corporation is a global enterprise, operating in 20 countries.
PQ is a leading producer of silicate, zeolite, and other performance materials, serving the detergent, pulp and paper, chemical, petroleum, catalyst, water treatment, construction and beverage markets.
Job Scope: Operation of all aspects of the Rahway plant operations to achieve maximum safety, housekeeping, efficiency, productivity and quality through means of minor mechanical repairs and PM, training, material quality testing, computer-based data systems and Continuous Quality Improvement techniques.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will have the capability and desire to be trained in the operation of the A100, D300, microspheres, shipping processes and other plant processes.
Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must have or obtain a proper Boiler license within (6) six months.
Must be an effective communicator both verbally and written.
Must be a self starter and capable of exercising good judgement.
Must have outstanding attendance and be safety oriented.
Must be willing to work rotating shifts and occasional overtime.
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
