Description: Relationship Managers (RM) assigned to this role will actively support the efficient administration and problem resolution for New York Life Retirement Plan Services (RPS) defined contribution plan clients and their Advisors, and will play an active role in the Sales process as we acquire new business.

These clients and plans generally have assets between $5 and $30 million.

The incumbents in this role will provide secondary support for the client (Client Account Managers are expected to perform in the primary support function), and serve as primary support for the Advisor assigned to each small plan in the assigned book of business.

Client Support- Overall Responsibility for Plan Satisfaction.

Perform as Client Advocate as appropriate.

- Conduct client meetings via phone as required (quarterly review for plans in excess of $20m and annual review for those below $20m).

- Conduct annual plan review meeting (as required, on an exception basis only).

Generate appropriate meeting materials.

- Conduct semi-annual PMR review (if required)- Conduct Investment Reviews with Advisor or Client or deliver Investment Reviews as requested - Interact with various NYL RPS personnel, including Operations Managers (OMs), internal consultants, Client Account Managers (CAMs), and administrative supervisory personnel on a regular basis Advisor and Wholesaler Support- Responsible for servicing Advisor/Agent (the RM is the primary contact for producer intermediaries).

Support Intermediary for investment performance info, etc. (RM is liaison/coordinator).

- Work with Advisor/Client on fund change decisions/requests - Support sales efforts (Site Visits / Finals) on an ad-hoc or as requested basisInternal Support- Manage discussions with client around potential Plan Design issues.

Lead plan design change requests with ERISA Consultant.

- Support Conversion process as required from time to time.

The RM may participate in conversion-related calls - Coordinate and participate in conversations surrounding the plans communication needs and support the completion of the Annual communications review/questionnaire.

- Become familiar with terms, methodology, and philosophy regarding investments and asset allocation to address many client inquiries.

Additional Roles/Responsibilities and Information - Pro-actively cross-sell/inform client/Advisors of new product or strategic services (PPA, Managed Accounts, Roth, etc).Qualifications: oClient-focused. Ability to understand client and advisor objectives and to consistently deliver results that exceed client and advisor expectations.

- Ability to participate in structured processes and to manage multiple client issues concurrently.

- Ability to deliver presentations to plan-level decision-makers and plan advisors/consultants in both existing client and sales processes.

- Strong understanding of the advisor retirement sales market is preferable.

- Education: Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience.

- 4-7 years bundled retirement services industry experience is preferred.

- Series 6 and life/health insurance license required.

If candidate does not possess at hire date, acquisition required within 120 days of hire.

- Ability to manage client and advisor expectations while prioritizing and communicating updates on client- or advisor-specific requests.

- Strong understanding and ability to present organizational objectives, business operations, and key drivers (revenue, expense metrics, etc) in a factual, non-threatening manner to clients and advisors- Understanding of administrative functions and recordkeeping for defined contribution plans.

- Ability to interact with clients on a professional relationship level.

Ability to say `No to clients in a tactful and diplomatic manner, and to negotiate through `unreasonable client demands.

- Understanding of trends within industry and existing book of business, and to work within existing client and NYL RPS requirements to execute favorable resolutions for all involved.
