Position Description:
Manage treaty, facultative and inter-company reinsurance.
Externally focused position for Property markets totaling $1.5B.
Support individual profit centers for all reinsurance related issues including treaties, renewal submissions, broker relationships, audits, large loss notifications, facultative reinsurance issues, and other miscellaneous items.
Supervise the development of reinsurance treaty submissions.
Review and approve contract wording.
Experience with both Property and Casualty Reinsurance placements, XOL and Prorata.
Provide documentation and support to the ongoing department compliance efforts.
Ensure risk transfer certification; assist with internal and external audits.
Use the system to resolve treaty coding issues.
Position Skills and Requirements:
Minimum of eight years of Facultative/Treaty Property Reinsurance.
Minimum of eight years in reinsurance broking, reinsurance underwriting, reinsurance contracts or reinsurance purchasing.
Effective communication skills, good management skills, and the ability to multi-task.
Proficient with Microsoft products including Word, Excel and Adobe.
Ability to market and build relationships with Reinsurance brokers and intermediaries.
Must be willing to travel.
