We are currently seeking PER DIEM RN's to join our health center team in Topeka, KS! Responsibilities: Ability to work indipendently Plan and provide professional nursing care for patients in accordance with physician orders and established policies and procedures to include collecting and analyzing patient data, making recommendations for nursing care plans, evaluating nursing care given and communicating to proper personnel relevant facts about patients, action taken and patient responses.
Administer medications as prescribed by physician and employ special nursing care techniques as required; administer intravenous medications and fluids as directed; maintain required records.
Assist in the examination and treatment of patients to include taking vital signs, drawing blood, extracting sutures; clean wounds, apply medications and dressings and assist in minor surgical procedures utilizing sterile techniques; obtain and record data for medical records.
Pick up and deliver specimens, equipment, messages, and supplies as directed; maintain inventory of supplies in examination rooms; replenish as required.
Escort and/or transport patients to examination room and other clinic locations; schedule patient appointments and prepare related records Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein such as but not limited to CCQI, coordinate clinic flow, and perform audiograms for hearing conservation program.
