Registered Nurse (RN) Job in Lexington 40504, Kentucky US
Full Time RN opening on the Stroke Unit40 hrs/wk; Nights, 11pm-7:30am; Every other weekend.
$3,000 Sign On Bonus! Must be a Registered Nurse in State of Ky. Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Hospital (Lexington, KY): Cardinal Hill began as a hospital for children with polio in 1950.
Since that time, it has evolved into one of the premier post acute providers of physical rehabilitation services with 108 inpatient beds.
Today, the hospital specializes in the treatment of spinal cord injury, brain injury, stroke, orthopedic and neurological conditions, amputation and other disabling or traumatic conditions.
Cardinal Hill serves more than 9,000 children and adults annually from all over Kentucky and nationwide.
Cardinal Hill provides physical rehabilitation for people needing inpatient, outpatient and home health care services.
Cardinal Hill also provides pediatric services for children from birth through adulthood by offering Preschool and Child Care services, and therapy for any disabling and/or traumatic condition.
Stroke Program: Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Hospitals Stroke program was created in 1978 with one central goal: to return clients who have experienced a stroke to meaningful lifestyles in the shortest time possible.
We help clients reach their goals to function independently through benchmark rehabilitation services.
An interdisciplinary team specializing in the unique needs of stroke clients provides rehabilitative care.
The team includes: · The client and family· Physiatrist (physician specializing in rehabilitation medicine)· Rehabilitation nurses· Physical Therapist· Occupational Therapist· Speech-Language Pathologist· Case Manager/Social Worker· Dietitian· Therapeutic Recreation Specialist· Psychological Services Each client receives a personalized rehabilitation plan.
The goal of that plan is to restore physical and social independence to clients experiencing a debilitating crisis.
Each plan takes into account the clients previous abilities, health, the area of the brain affected by the stroke and the extent of the injury.
Clients work to improve mobility, self-care, communication and socialization.
Hospital length of stay and discharge schedules are dependent upon the clients progress, the home situation and the level of family involvement.
