Reference Data - Directory Engineer Job in New York, New York US
A major client, located in New York City, is seeking a Reference Data - Directory Engineer responsible for implementing, maintaining, and architecting people data management systems.
Activities the candidate will be responsible for: Development and deployment of identity data management systems (database design and implementation)Requirements gathering, design, code development, testing, and deployment of the productDevelop scripts to automate administration and management of the environment3rd level production support and enhancement of developed productProduct documentationReference Data - Directory Engineer Qualifications: Bachelor's DegreeStrong LDAP Administration skills in SunONE Directory ServerStrong Meta-Directory administration experienceStrong programming skills in PerlStrong UNIX administration backgroundExperience in designing highly available systemsUnderstanding of TCP/IP and client / server architectureSpecific Professional Skills: At least 5 years of professional work experienceStrong troubleshooting / problem solving capabilitySelf starter, motivated, and can work unsupervisedStructured, organized approach to projects and the ability to set and meet delivery datesEffective verbal and written communications skillsUnderstand and carried through full production cycle of a product including requirement gathering, design, coding, testing, production turnover, documentation, and post-production supportAbility to work in a fast changing environment and working under pressureTechnical Skills Desired: Experience in Critical Path Join Engine productVirtual Directory implementation experienceC and C++ experienceUnderstanding Microsoft Active DirectoryProfessional Skills: Work experience in a financial institutional environment
