Real Estate Appraisal Review Assistant Job in Orland Park 60629, Illinois US
Summary: Review appraisals for compliance with USPAP and the Banks internal standards.
Aid in the selection of qualified appraisers, issue engagement letters, order & evaluate appraisals and complete the appraisal review for loan transactions under consideration by the Bank.
The real estate appraisal reviews are a necessary process to insure consistency and compliance with appraisal policies in accordance with OCC regulations.
Appraisal reviews are critical to the maintenance of high credit quality.
They assist the credit officer and lender is determining real estate value for lending purposed.
Specific Responsibilities: Order appraisals for commercial, residential & multi-family properties.
Prepare a detailed analysis of market conditions & comparables required to formulate an opinion of value based on the review of all values provided.
Communicate with the appraisers & Lenders as required to ensure that the appraisers final reconciled value is accurate.
Assist Loan Officers in finding comparable sales and review internally prepared property evaluations.
Ensure that all reports meet USPAP & Lender requirements.
Assist in the adding of new appraisers to the banks approved list.
Create, draft & implement approved appraisal procedures for operating changes & new regulations.
Maintain & monitor appraisal requests in a shared work in process file.
Identify Loan Policy Exceptions.
Update & maintain appraisal tickler information on Baker Hill.
Assist in the preparation of monthly reports (appraisal & portfolio performance) Monitor excessive advance on collateral exceptions.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required: Must have commercial appraisal experience Detail orientated with strong customer skills Demonstrate superior time management, task organization, and prioritization Self confident, motivated with an ability to be flexible.
Strong analytical, verbal and interpersonal skills.
Accurate typing and strong data input skills.
Education: Bachelors degree (preferably Accounting or Finance)Experience: 2+ years performing commercial and residential real estate appraisal review desired.
A thorough understanding of USPAP and federal appraisal regulations is also desired.
Experience in understanding of complex and/or special purpose properties a plus.
