JOB DESCRIPTIONDEALER OPERATIONS - RATERPOSITION DETAILS
Assist in securing, accumulating and tabulating rate information for new business and renewal accounts and policy changes on in-force accountsPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Rate and issues all types of insurance policies in an accurate and timely manner with minimal guidance and supervision.
Use appropriate desk management skills to manage workflow.
Maintain personal manuals.
Process endorsements, cancellations and cancel/rewrites.
Discuss and handle account requests, questions and problems of a simple nature from customers in a courteous and timely manner.
Anticipate and identify problems and recommends ways to improve team efficiency and overall customer satisfaction.
Perform other clerical and administrative duties as assigned.
Keep manager informed verbally and in writing of activities and problems within assigned area of responsibility; refers matters beyond limits of authority and expertise to manager for direction.
Perform other related duties as required or requested.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or the equivalent.
Above average basic mathematical skills required.
More than 1 year commercial rating experience with ability and knowledge to rate on a manual basisKEY COMPETENCIES

Organization Must establish effective organization and prioritization skills to maximize productivity.
Communication Must communicate effectively through both written and verbal means to ensure all customer transactions are completely accurate.

Commitment must demonstrate a genuine interest in the success of the department and the company.
Customer Focus Must exercise sound judgment while dealing with all customer transactions.
