Quality Technician Job in Rochelle Park 07662, New Jersey US
Lab Support has an immediate opportunity available for a Quality Technician.
Candidates must have previous work experience performing inspections and testing of raw materials, in process or finished products.
This position utilizes visual inspection techniques, specific inspection tools & test equipment and requires knowledge of ISO Quality System requirements and interpretation/analysis of data.
Responsibilities: Perform sample preparation, visual, dimensional and physical property inspection/testing according to written SOPs and test procedures.
Determine acceptability of material by comparing inspection results to product specifications.
Complete and maintain written records and computer database.
Perform euipment clibration and verification.
Prepare, generate, and approve Certificates of Compliance/Analysis.
Interpret drawings, specifications, test methods, control plans, and sampling plans as necessary.
Clean and maintain work areas, gauges, equipment, and instrumentation as scheduled or required.
Report nonconformance issues.
Qualifications: Associates Degree in Technical or Scientific discipline.
Experience or training in Quality Assurance principals and practices.
Plastics testing experience desireable but not necessary.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Effective communication skills, written, and verbal.
Able to read, interpret, and follow SOPs, labels, instructions, specifications, reference materials.
Math skills necessary to fulfill job responsibilities (may include SPC, statistics, geometry, algebra).
