This new position, located in Plymouth Michigan, will support compliance in and development of the Business Management System to maintain accreditation.

While reporting to the Quality Manager in the UK, this position will be the go to person in the US for all quality issues and reporting.

Due to a rapid growth spurt, opportunities to expand the scope of this position is likely.

Main Responsibilities and Tasks Maintain and improve processes required for new product launch and other business areas as required.

Actively participate in project teams to encourage and promote use of best practice.

Compile, review and timely distribution of all daily/weekly/monthly quality management reports.

Organise, perform and support audits to monitor compliance and effectiveness of project processes to ISO9001/TS16949 standards.

Promote quality awareness and best practice through presentations/training.

General administration within the quality department such as preparing reports, scanning, collating data, supporting presentations.

Technical Skills and Experience: Ideally, the candidate will have at least 2 years experience in the following: Experience of design and development engineering life cycle through manufacturing.

Work in an electronics or embedded systems environment in an engineering capacity.

Qualification as an auditor in ISO9001/TS16949 Experience working with ISO9000/TS16949/CMMI quality management standards Expertise in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Preferably experienced with databases.

Experience in the compilation of management data reporting.

Filing indexing etc. must be of a high level.

The following education/experience is preferred: BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent degree Familiarity with automotive industry requirements (APQP, 8D, Automotive SPICE), quality standards and systems Experience of working with Six Sigma methodology and tools Experience of working in electronics manufacturing, military or automotive product development.
