Quality Manager Job in Decatur 30035, Georgia US
Key Responsibilities: ˜ Implementing and maintaining the Hood Quality Management system.
˜ Implementation and maintaining the ISO 9002 quality management system.
˜ Identifying problems with goods, service processes, procedures and unmet training needs, taking corrective action to the root cause of the difficulty.
˜ Assisting the management team in meeting quality goals and objectives.
˜ Reporting quality results monthly to the Plant Manager & Corporate Quality Manager.
˜ Meeting with customers and suppliers as required.
Participating in Hood Packaging quality meetings and training programs.
˜ Participating in internal audits of the Decatur facility as required.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements: The Quality Manager understands and can perform the following: ˜ Familiar with the flexible packaging process as it relates to fulfilling customer requirements.
˜ Understands the principles and practices of total quality management.
(ie problem solving techniques, ISO principles, etc.)˜ Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
˜ Works cooperatively with others, promoting a team environment.
Minimum Qualifications: Education: High School Diploma/GED and job related experience and/or College DegreeTraining: 5 years experience in the flexible packaging industry or 5 years experience in quality management.
