What You'll Do John Deere Davenport Works is seeking a Quality Engineer to participate on OFP (Order fulfillment Process) teams as the quality representative, ensuring quality tools and processes are utilized.
In addition, you will: Participate/Lead Quality In Design (QID) and daily Production MeetingsParticipate in System, Design, and Process FMEA; maintain and develop Control PlansInvestigate product quality problems, determine root cause, and implement corrective action;Own John Deere-Quality Production System (JD-QPS Quality Integration question(s); active member of Quality Improvement TeamWhat It TakesWe need an excellent communicator (both oral and written) with minimum of 2-5 years using quality tools, such as Design and Assembly Review, FMEA (Failure Modes & Effects Analysis) and Root Cause Analysis and control plans.
Ideally, you would have a Bachelor's degree in an Engineering/Technology/Business/Management discipline or equivalent work experience.
We also require: Previous experience working in a manufacturing environmentDemonstrated experience with drawing and schematic interpretation, product models, geometric dimensioning and toleranceAbility to work independently, to stay on top of current business conditions, to prioritize projects, multi-task and meet deadlinesA strong candidate will have completed Six Sigma Green Belt training.
In addition they will have worked in a unionized manufacturing environment.
