Quality Control - Paint Inspection Specialist Job in Montgomery 36117, Alabama US
Technical Specialist for paint process.
Coordinate, monitor, and perform specialized processes/related functions directly related to paint process engineering in an automotive manufacturing environment.
Job requirements include the analysis and improvement of current production processes and coordination of new model and tooling launches.
Conduct research that tests and analyzes the feasibility, design, operation, and performance of equipment, components and systems.
Study/Recommend/Implement changes to reduce defects in material, method, workmanship, machine, environmental and measurement.
Coordinate quality control objectives and activities to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, and minimize cost.
Coordinate new colors, color trials, and cleaning schedules for mix room.
Oversee environmental waste system for mix room, surfacer, and repair areas.
Issue/Revise Standard Work Institution Sheet.
Investigate feasibility, scope, and schedule; create process plans, bid packages, and project specifications.
Coordinate tool and gauge calibration.
Provide technical direction /assistance to identify, troubleshoot problems, purpose countermeasures/solutions and resolve issues.
Participate in Cross Functional Teams (CFT) and other problem solving teams as directed by senior management.
Serve as a technical expert for Team Members, Team Leaders, and Group Leaders including technical training.
Coordinate contractors in Field work environment.
Report current projects progress, and issues to senior management.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality tracking reports and analysis.
Requirements/QualificationsOccasional travel (domestic, foreign), working hours may include weekends, holidays, and or off shifts Education/TrainingBachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred.
Advanced Degree desired.
