Quality Assurance Engineer Job in Boston 02210, Massachusetts US
Job Description: We are looking for an exceptional QA professional with at least 5 years of experience with software quality assurance; skills include OOP concepts in demonstrable excellence; extraordinary experience in debugging; and excellent communication skills.
The position works directly in collaboration with developers in order to assess our QA needs and implement the proper protocols and procedures for product testing.
Position is intended as a lead role - experience with developing and managing teams is a plus.
Essential Functions: · Evaluate and test new or modified software programs, recommend and implement improvements · Develop and execute policies that will ensure quality software · Design, write, and execute test cases for functional testing· Develop and perform manual testing · Develop test automation programs · Keep detailed error tracking and testing feedback · Write, revise, and verify quality standards; test procedures for program design and product evaluation · Ensure automated testing goals are achieved for product release · Work to improve automation development efficiency, maintainability, and re-usability · Update regression test cases based on changes in requirements · Keep detailed error tracking and testing feedback Requirements: · 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance.
· Ability to work well with minimal supervision· 1-2 years of programming experience preferably object-oriented languages such as (Perl, PHP, Python) · 1-2 years of experience with creating SQL or PL/SQL · Experience and proven proficiency in identifying, reporting, tracking, and resolving software defects · Experience in manual and automated software testing methodologies and techniques.
· Excellent oral, written, presentation and diagnosis skills · Experience with Java-based applications preferred · Must demonstrate ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment
