QA Analyst/Tester Job in New York City 10001, New York US

Position: QA Analyst Location: ManhattanDuration: ContractPosition Objectives: - Plan, Define, Document, automate and execute QA testing Position Responsibilities: - Define and document test scenarios/ cases from Business/ Functional requirements - Execute functional and regression tests during testing phase - Performs integration, functional, regression, performance testing of Client/ Server, Web applications - This candidate will be expected to design, write and maintain backend automation scripts for testing - Candidate should be experienced in documenting standard test methodologies - Should be a fast learner and be able to quickly acquire business and technical knowledge; need to come up with robust test cases, and work against aggressive timelines Skills required for this position: - 3-5 years experience testing distributed applications including data validation and error handling - Knowledge of QA methodologies and industry standards like CMMI, SIX SIGMA, AGILE is a plus - Ability to write detailed test cases, test plans, and thoroughly document defects identified - 3+ years experience with test automation using Mercury Quick Test Pro - Experience with testing of financial industry and trading systems (Brokerage/Investment Banking/ Trading Systems) - Experience with python scripting is a must - Experience understanding of nUnit or dotUnit scripts is a huge plus - Experience with functional testing of all tiers of a multi-tier distributed application including UI, middleware/messaging and database layers - Experience with backend database testing - DB Skills - should be able to write complex SQL statements - Experience working with geographically dispersed teams - Proven leadership with effective organizational and interpersonal skills - Strong written and verbal communication skills required - Self motivated individual and creative thinker who will take ownership and accountability - Experience with testing of financial industry and trading systemsRequired Skills: QA Testing, Financial Industry, Quick Test Pro, SQL Queries, PythonJoin TEKsystems® and get your career on the fast track.
