QA Analyst Job in New York, New York US
The Risk Management IT Team needs a Senior Quality Analyst to help ensure the provision of high quality systems to the Market Risk Department (MRD).
MRD is responsible for monitoring, measuring, and communicating market risks generated by our client's business lines.
Position Description Includes: Contribute to test planning, test preparation and writing, and test execution according to defined best practices, standards, and proceduresEnsure the applications meet the needs of the businessTroubleshoot issues, solving independently or escalating to development team and identifying automation opportunitiesThe skills, experience, and knowledge required to be considered for this position include: QA experience within a distributed environment (Windows UI, Services and Relational Databases)Strong experience with SQL; Linux and Windows scripting (Shell, Dos, etc.); Excel / VBATest planning and test case documentationManual test execution, test data preparation and reporting test resultsExperience with HP automation tools (QC and QTP)Experience working with offshore teamsStrong analytic and problem solving skillsPersonable, able to interface with senior management in Business and IT, as well as technical colleaguesSkills Desired: Linux; Shell scripting; Perl; DB2 UDB; OLAP; Excel; and data analysis
