Purchasing and Inventory Coordinator Job in Santa Fe Springs 90670, California US
Established company in Greater Los Angeles area seeks experienced Purchasing and Inventory Coordinator.
Purchasing and Inventory Coordinator JOB SPECIFICATIONS (KEY RESULTS EXPECTED FROM THIS POSITION IN THE FIRST 6/12 MONTHS): Answerable to Company President and Vice President of Operations.
Coordinating with VP of Operations and company management to understand and ensure purchasing efficiencies and effective inventory forecasting.
Provide oversight to all purchasing procedures and inventory stock levels.
ie Evaluate all vendor Purchase Order processing and appraise existing inventory stock levels.
Justify purchases and manage correct inventory levels based on a sound understand of customer inventory requirements Monitor key inventory components and report inconsistent trends to management.
Validate and authorize purchases.
Coordinate communications with all company departments concerning purchasing and inventory data and status.
Provide reports and explanation to customers and company management.
Manage end-of-year inventory levels to meet customer and company expectations.
Arrange inter company meetings to discuss corporate purchasing goals and objectives.
Coordinate purchasing requirements with company president, COO and VP of Operations.
Constantly review and coordinate customer service requests with customer service manager.
EMPLOYEE SPECIFICATIONS(Minimum education and experience required and key personal characteristics.
) Bachelors degree in related fields of: Purchasing, Materials Management or Inventory Management, or similar discipline preferred but not conditional.
Four plus (4+) years experience in a managerial position responsible for purchasing / data entry and inventory control.
Experience as a Department Supervisor in a customer service capacity preferred.
Demonstrated effectiveness with interpersonal and communication skills at all levels of business.
Must be able to function in a highly interactive team environment.
Demonstrated proficiency and depth of knowledge of network and PC computers.
Must have efficient and effective work attitude and a flexible but independent mind set. Excellent personal presentation, written and oral communication skills.
