PUBLICISTTor/Forge Books seeks a highly-motivated and creative Publicist to join its publicity team.
The ideal candidate will have at least two years of publicity experience, possess excellent writing and organizational skills, be familiar with key print, broadcast and electronic media, and have a successful track record in publicizing fiction and non fiction.
Creative ideas for digital marketing strategies a plus.
Major Responsibilities: Pitching to the media to secure coverage (print, radio, internet, TV)Writing press releasesTargeting galley and review copy mailingsCoordinating author tours and eventsCommunicating with authors Required Skills / Knowledge: Knowledge of key print, broadcast and electronic media a mustExperience at multitasking while working in a fast paced, energetic environmentExceptional organizational skills and interpersonal skillsAbility to prioritize, meet deadlines and work independentlySuperior verbal and written communication skillsExcellent computer skills, specifically Excel and Publicity AssistantKnowledge of mass market, paranormal and urban fantasy publicity and marketing initiatives a plusExperience Needed: Two years book publicity experience Educational Background Required: Bachelors degree
