A large, nationwide transportation company is seeking a seasoned Cargo & Property Damage Adjuster with Experience and Licenses for office in Nashville. This position will be responsible for the investigation of liability and injuries on new losses via telephone and field adjuster relations in a timely and efficient manner.  Knowledge of negligence laws of each state and ability to apply them and aggressively negotiate claims to conclusion is key.  Position will handle coverage verification, policy interpretation, liability investigation and evaluation of personal auto claims.  Adjuster is also responsible for coordinating and working with repair vendors, claimants, settling claims and issuing payments accordingly under moderate supervision.  Will also work closely with the safety/compliance department. Responsibilities:Confirm applicable coverageConduct thorough investigation of the claimPrepare claim status reportsMaintain diary programEvaluate each claimant for compensabilityEvaluate claim for possible fraud indicatorsIdentify subrogation potentialRequirements:College degree or equivalent of work experience and educationMinimum 3 years claims handling experience w/ 1-2 yrs. exposure to injury claimsTrucking industry claims experience preferredWorking knowledge of FMCSA H.O.S. rules preferred
