Project Manager Job in West Des Moines, Iowa US
Our client in the West Des Moines area has an immediate need for a Project Manager.
This is a contract to hire opportunity!Duties: Responsible for managing multiple business, technology or compliance projects in accordance to the company's project management methodologyRequirements include: Knowledge and demonstrated success in project managementAbility to lead the team in accomplishing the overall project goals to ensure scope, schedule and costs are delivered as definedDevelops project plans specifying schedule, milestones and required tasksEffective oral and written communication skills and the ability to tailor to various audiences throughout the entire organization to include project reporting and documentationDemonstrated relationship building with Sponsors, Stakeholders, Business Partners and team membersDemonstrated understanding and implementation of risk and issue management within projectsExperience in managing project politicsProficient in project management software (MS Project) to manage schedules, resources and costsSelf-starter, demonstrating personal initiativeAbility to handle multiple priorities within designated timeframesVendor or external business partner relationship managementExperience managing compliance projectsWill use MS Project for project plan creation, etc. Other good technical skills: Software proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and VisioVarying size of projects with business, technology or compliance emphasis.
Preferred PMP or PgMPBackground Nice to Have: Insurance, Agricultural background is a plus
