Project Manager Job in New York 10036, New York US
Project Manager The project managers main responsibility is to keep the print studio organized and productive.
The position requires an in-depth knowledge of graphic design, page layout, file construction, packaging, layout composition, typography, use of color, printing methods and quality control.
The project manager reports to the studio director.
This position requires the discipline and flexibility to keep track of a wide variety of projects, interpret briefs, specifications, style guides as well as create estimates, work orders, schedule work and manage a team of graphic artists to complete projects on time and within budget.
Qualifications - Strong knowledge of graphic applications such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and QuarkXPress- Familiarity with Prinergy and FileMaker Pro Responsibilities- Provide professional advice and excellent service to internal clients- Estimate and pay close attention to project cost after every round- Monitor assignments and resource allocation- Provide clear instructions and advice to graphic artists- Apply strong design principles across print media- Bring an attention to detail to each job, from concept to delivery- Work collaboratively with creative, account and production teams when required- Improve studio work flow and service model by incorporating emerging practices and standards Required Skills- 5+ years' print studio experience at an advertising or marketing agency- Experience in packaging, POS and general print design- Bachelors degree in advertising, graphic design or graphic arts- Good design sense and the ability to work collaboratively- Successful track record managing multiple projects simultaneously- Excellent oral and written communication skills for effective communication with clients, internal staff and executive management- Excellent organizational skills and efficient and effective work habits- A dynamic personality and the ability to shift between modes of operation without compromising studio standards *****PLEASE APPLY AT: http://tinyurl.
