Description: Summary of Responsibilities: The Project Manager, New Technology Initiatives is responsible for completing project management tasks associated with the assigned projects.

This includes monitoring and tracking deliverables, milestones, and budget working closely with the IT group, Project Sponsor, Project Team and Vendor, if applicable, to manage the project, facilitate communications and track and report progress to management.

This person has the authority and is accountable to manage the project, lead the planning and development of all the project deliverables.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities: - Perform project management tasks ensuring defined project management methodology and best practices are being followed and adhered to for the lifecycle of the project.

- Coordination of project team consisting of internal IT team, internal business users and external vendor.

- Facilitate project team meetings including maintaining project plan, monitoring deliverables, scheduling meetings, monitoring budget, identifying issues and ensuring appropriate resolution.

- Provide leadership and direction to project team to ensure successful completion of the project which includes identifying and removing potential obstacles, and decision making.

- Work closely with Project Sponsor for project plan updates and to provide ongoing communications on the status of tasks which includes providing weekly status reports to project teams and Project Sponsor.

- Work with IT department team members assigned to the project including Development, QA and Infrastructure.

- Work closely with Business Analyst and Project Sponsor to ensure business requirements (including UAT test cases) are detailed, follow company standards and are complete for IT and Vendor use. - Ensure all assigned team members have the necessary documentation for assigned project tasks.

This may include clarification of specifications.

- Coordinate communications with external vendor tracking key milestones and deliverables.

- Coordinate communications and tasks with NYL vendor management team.

- Report back status (including budget) of assigned projects to management including Project Steering Committee.

- Provide recommendations on potential opportunities for further enhancements and present recommendations to Project Sponsor.

Qualifications: - Strong organizational and project management skills.

- Project management and vendor management experience.

- Experience managing large, technical, multiyear projects.

- The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and the ability to work well with other areas at RPS, often under tight deadlines.

- Strong problem solving and decision making skills.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Strong technical and teamwork skills.

- Proven ability to comprehend technical systems and processes.

- Retirement Plan, Financial Industry and/or Data Warehouse experience a plus.
