Project Environmental Scientist / Geologist Job in Edina 55439, Minnesota US
Key Responsibilities· It is preferred that this person is located in Edina, MN but we will consider an individual to work in our Novi, MI office.
· Will report to the Project Manager and handle the a variety of responsibilities including scheduling field sampling events, procuring equipment, coordinating with our field staff on a daily basis and procuring subcontractors.
· Will complete assignments for State of Michigan contracts and for large industrial clients.
· Completes complex field investigations including groundwater, soil, sampling by Geoprobe, HAS or rotosonic.
· Oversight of complex soil excavation, demolitions, and environmental treatment system installations.
· Write RFQ and procure subcontractors.
· Preparation of technical memoranda/reports documenting analysis.
· Preparation of boring logs, data tables, figures, and graphs.
Basic/Required Qualifications· BS in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science or related degree.
· PG /CPG or ability to get similar registration desired but not required.
· 5 - 8 years + environmental experience required.
· Database management in Excel or Access.
· Knowledge of USEPA and state regulations.
· Good written and verbal communication skills required.
· Attention to detail and strong time management capabilities.
· Must pass drug test, physical, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy.
Preferred Qualifications· Experienced installing Geoprobe borings and monitoring wells.
· Ability to classify soil cuttings and manage contractors in the field.
Physical Demands· Must be able to lift and move heavy field equipment over rough terrain.
