ResponsibilitiesThe Project Engineer will oversee every step of the product development process.

This will include (but is not limited to): Oversee new product development by controlling the communication flow between our clients, internal staff and manufacturing partners.

Communicate daily with the Hong Kong staff on assigned projects.

Guide the in-house Industrial Designers to provide feasible, cost effective product designs.

Proactively problem solve to ensure that the design parameters are met, while collaborating with safety personnel to provide products that are as safe as possible.

Work with freelance sculptors to provide models to meet the design parameters.

Compile documents as necessary to achieve full document control for assigned projects.

Review physical models and compare to the design requirements.

The Sr. Project Engineer will interact with clients by presenting designs, prototypes, and finished products in face to face meetings.

SkillsThe right candidate for this job will have a skill set that includes: Strong technical project management skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary, especially with Hong Kong staff.

Ability to handle multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously and meet daily deadlines while working in a team environment.

Robust knowledge of plastic processing methods including: tooling, injection molding, blow molding and rotocast molding.

The mechanical aptitude to understand designs and mechanisms, and relate this understanding to toy function and mass production.

Detail-oriented, highly organized and quality driven.

Ability to react confidently to a clients request and provide on the spot feedback to expedite the program decisions.

Must be proactive and not reactive.

Potential issues must be anticipated.

Self-starter with a team player outlook.

QualificationsThe right candidate for this job will have a background which includes: B.

in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.

Design engineering experience in manufacturing high volume consumer products.

Experience in plastic manufacturing is preferred.
