Project Engineer Job in Rockford 61101, Illinois US
Hamilton Sundstrand is among the largest global suppliers of technologically advanced aerospace and industrial products.
We design and manufacture aerospace systems for commercial, regional, corporate and military aircraft and are a major supplier for international space programs.
Our industrial products serve industries ranging from hydrocarbon, chemical and food processing to construction and mining.
Project Engineer (PE) will be responsible for managing the design team for a software development effort.
The PE will guide the team for the full development life cycle from requirements definition through certification.
Responsibilities involve leadership of the team, interface with ancillary design groups and coordination with external customer.
In addition, the project engineer is Cost Account Manager (CAM) for the software effort, responsible for cost and schedule as well as technical performance of the product.
BS Engineering MBA Preferred 8-10 years relevant experience required.
Project management skills (MS Project, Earned Value Management System, etc).
Program Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
Aerospace experience on prior development efforts at both technical and project management levels.
Communication skills.
Team leadership abilities.
