Project Coordinator - Young Adult Recovery Destination (YARD) Job in Boston, Massachusetts US
The Institute for Health and Recovery, Inc. is seeking a full-time Project Coordinator for the Young Adult Recovery Destination (YARD) Project, a federally funded service expansion project to develop a recovery-oriented substance use disorder (SUD) treatment and recovery center for transition age youth, ages 18-24, residing in South Boston, MA. The Program Coordinator will provide program oversight, staff management, and project coordination to assure an assertive, positive, and strength-based approach to working with transition age youth (ages 18-24) and their families affected by substance use. The position is full-time and is based in S.
Boston, MA, and is supervised by the Director of Youth Services.
Major Responsibilities: · Supervise all YARD Project staff · Fulfill all reporting requirements of federal funding agency: SAMHSAs Center For Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) · Oversee assessment, engagement and treatment of all YARD Project youth clients · Convene YARD Project staff meetings weekly · Attend staff meetings of the YARD Project and IHR · Work with transition age youth utilizing GAIN, A-CRA coupled with ACC · Provide ongoing support in the use of EBPs · Recruit and convene Project Advisory Board · Act as liaison with evaluation staff · Be knowledgeable of community resources that serve transition age youth for referral purposes · Participate in collecting evaluation data · Several days per week (2-3) will require evening hours (until 8pm) to facilitate client contact Qualifications: · Advanced degree in social work, counseling, psychology or related field (preferred) · Individuals in Recovery encouraged to apply · Previous experience working with transition age youth ages 18-24, families, mental health, and substance use issues · Previous experience providing community-based treatment to individuals dealing with substance-use-disorders · Ability to work effectively with diverse cultural groups and community partnerships · Demonstrated oral and written communication skills · Energetic and flexible · Experience supervising clinical staff and para-professionals IHR offers a rewarding work environment with competitive salary, generous benefits and a strong commitment to diversity.
