Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)
Program Management Professional (PMP)
Experience working in an acute hospital environment
PMO Program/project management experience within a large complex environment
Best practice certifications (ITIL, CMMI, PMI, etc.)Job Description: Job Summary: (Describe primary responsibilities of the job; needs to include the nature and duties of the job and cannot be generic for multiple positions.

)The PMO Program Manager has overall responsibility for execution of one, or more, complex programs that each may consist of multiple projects.

The execution would include program / project strategies, supporting business cases, project plans (Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)), reporting, financial control, and all appropriate project documents and Gate Review materials required under Project Management Methodology (PMM) for a variety of projects including, but not limited to, new application deployments (Commercial, Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and custom), process improvement, application and technical upgrades, feature/function enhancements and technical infrastructure enhancements.

The PMO Program Manager will lead a team comprised of Project Managers and Business Analysts and provide leadership, guidance, mentoring for the team as well as a route of escalation for project, program and operational risks and issues.The PMO Program Manager will drive communications with Information Technologies (IT) leadership, business leadership and various project and program stakeholders to facilitate program definition, strategy, direction and status as well as partner with business and clinical leaders to achieve the goals of the Hospital.

Essential Functions:
Provide management, leadership and oversight for programs and projects within assigned portfolios to insure success and compliance of the assignments within the standards outlined, including compliance with technical requirements and PMM which includes all program and project related deliverables including, but not limited to, project plans, scope documents, budgets, WBSs, schedules, budgets, business and technical requirements, training, transition, communication and support plans, etc. Specifically: oEnsuring program/project schedules are maintained and up-to-dateoEnsuring resource assignments and allocations are maintained, up-to-date, and equitableoCoordinate dependencies and resource allocations across the enterprise for assigned portfoliosoEnsuring the PMO project / program management tool is maintained and up-to-dateoEnsuring budgets and financial forecasts are maintained, managed, and up-to-dateoEnsuring project, schedule, resource, vendor, etc. conflicts are addressed in a respectful and timely fashion
Determine and recommend staff development/training and mentoring opportunities to enhance staff competencies
Provide management, leadership and career path guidance to staff in assigned program area
Ensure performance evaluations, as well as, all other forms of feedback are conducted in a professional, constructive and timely manner
Coordinate with and support the Infrastructure, Applications, Data, Customer Relations, and Clinical Adoption teams, as well as other IT groups, to coordinate and maintain IT priorities assigned portfolios
Actively participate in the IT Capital and Operational Planning processes
Lead assigned team to achieve goals measured by reportable metrics that you will help develop
Identify and implement tools and techniques for continuous improvement in PMO process that support superior outcomes and exceptional communications while utilizing industry standard benchmarks to measure quality and satisfaction in order to exceed customer expectations
To be viewed by key stakeholders as a strategic partner within assigned Portfolios.


Position may require travel between various locations and its affiliates.


Position may require participation in 24/7 department on-call program.

On-call employees are required to carry a department issued cellular phone or pager, respond to calls within 15 minutes, troubleshoot problem and provide services off-site as needed and be available to provide services on-site as needed within 1 ½ hours of being called or paged to respond.


Position may require participating in meetings outside of normal business hours including occasional evenings and/or weekends.


Position is located in a support department which operates a call center 24 hours a day, seven days a week to provide support and service.

Operations include 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Employees may be required to pick up shifts outside of their standard assignment for coverage due to vacations, holidays, staff shortages, or other special circumstances as determined by leadership.
