Description: Job Summary: As a Professional Services Consultant you will work to meet the requirements of Enterprise clients by providing and deploying technical architectures that deliver the highest value add on NetApp solutions.

In this role you will be expected to position and deliver company marketed solution sets and other custom consulting.

You will work closely with the sales team to present solutions to customers' unique requirements.

This position requires a dynamic, hard-working and ambitious individual, with good oral and written communication skills.

Individuals will also possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills and have experience project managing storage solutions.

Consulting experience with strong customer interaction skills is a must.

Essential Functions: Overall scope of this position includes planning and administering major portions of the implementation and engineering effort including: - Designing/architecting major components- Task management- Personnel identification- Client deliverables- Communication with clients and managementSpecific responsibilities include: - Scope and write detailed Statements of Work- Engage in sales team activities to scope service deliverables with ability to translate business issues into NetApp deliverables- Project manage engagements- Deliver on consulting tasks (e.

g., installation and configuration of 3rd party applications)- Contribute to the improvement or enhancement of NetApp consulting best practicesQualifications: Requirements: - Proficiency in two of the following NetApp Specialty Solutions: - SAN, Exchange, Databases (Oracle, SQL), DR/BC, Compliance or Grid Computing- Strong knowledge of protocols including: - TCP/IP, NFS, SMTP, SNMP, FTP, HTTP- Strong knowledge of RAID, Fiber Channel, SCSI, DLT- In-depth knowledge of Windows, Unix and/or System Administration skills on products such as NetApp, SUN, HP, IBM, EMC- 6 to 8 years of consulting and/or project management experience implementing NetApp specialty solutions.

- Prior consulting experience including providing strategic and tactical planning for data management and delivery systems.

- Broad exposure to a variety of technologies/concepts in a distributed environment.

- Experience in project managing storage solutions.

- Excellent analytical/problem solving abilities, leadership and sales skills.

- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, presentation, customer, business and negotiation skills.

- Direct people management experience with the ability to drive the activities of multi-person customer, partner and NetApp consulting teams.

- Drive the selection and business negotiation with consulting partners.

- Up to 85%+ travel required.

- This individual will apply broad expertise or unique technical/industry knowledge in solving problems that are unique and extremely complex given time, budget and resource constraints.

- Demonstrate leadership and vision in determining and driving strategy decisions.

- Interaction: - This individual must work effectively with staff to vice-president level employees within the function, across functions and with external parties.

- Limited supervision is provided, as this individual can operate, drive results, and set priorities independently.

- The ideal candidate will be a proactive contributor and subject matter expert.

- To be successful, this individual must demonstrate favorable results through leadership and influencing multiple individuals and groups.

- Often acts as mentor or facilitator.

Education & Experience: - A minimum of 9 to 11 years of experience is required.

- A Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience is required.

- Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, complex technical projects.
