Production Planning Manager Job in E. Hanover 07936, New Jersey US
New York are manufacturer needs an experienced and effective Senior Production Planning Manager, to coordinate and plan production control, inventory management, and materials planning.
Will manage, and motivate planning staff responsible for meeting shipping dates and delivery commitments within budgets.
Manages the department budget.
Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity data, makes recommendations on manufacturing processes, materials, equipment, and human resource requirements.
Will analyze sales forecasts, and determine inventory and production levels.
Meet regularly with sales, marketing, accounting, quality assurance, engineering, and purchasing to develop Materials Requirements Planning schedules, and support new product introductions.
Work on SAP IT projects which impact manufacturing planning.
Bachelors degree in Business Management or Engineering plus at least seven years experience in production control and inventory planning, including at least two or three years experience in management.
Must be familiar with lean manufacturing, and working with 5S.
Experience working with SAP ERP system or similar, is required.
CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) from APICS is preferred.
Background should include management and training of a team of people who do production planning, production control, purchasing, inventory planning, stock control logistics.
Must have an established track record of planning process improvement.
Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills.
