Production Coordinator Job in New York City 10017, New York US
DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY: The Production Coordinator oversees a unit of internal AETN network production budgets.
Track related Production financials in accordance with departmental policy.
Responsible for day-to-day operations and implementation all policies and procedures of AETN.
Manage location and studio shoots as needed.
Serve as primary contact with channel show producers managing all their production activity.
PRIMARY DUTIES: Budgeting and Tracking Costs: Create and monitor production budgetso Meet with show and project producers to create production plano Code all invoices, timecards, expense reports and checks to the appropriate project lineso Approve and sign off on all expenditureso Data entry of expenditures into accounting softwareo Manage monthly re-forecasting process adding estimated activity against actual running totals Reconcile budgets with A/P ledger outlining monthly and annual accrualsManagement - Location and Studio Shoots: o Plan and oversee all location shooting activity for AETN Production needso Work with Producers to anticipate the most favorable lead time to set up location/studio shooting o Identify the film/video crews to fill needed positions.
Hire these people making the favorable deals on behalf of the company; assess equipment needs and secure the appropriate gear for the nature of each shoot and create the shoot schedule o Production responsibilities include: freelance personnel, crew call times, keep the day on schedule, equipment, meals, cars, location agreements while adhering to company policy.
Serve as the company safety officer on set maintaining all safety standards to reduce company risk and liability
