If you would like to unleash your creativity and your career - its time to join the Extreme Networks team and become an Extremist!Product Marketing Manager - Santa Clara, CAThis position will be responsible for executing the day-to-day outbound product marketing and positioning of Extreme Networks switching products.
Responsibilities include market opportunity and competitor assessment, product positioning, market analysis, and sales training and support.
Interface effectively with Product Management, Customer Support, Business Operations, Business Development, Channel Management, Channel Partners, and Direct Customers.
Drive and develop material for multiple product launches including press releases, launch materials, customer presentations, videos, and sales training materials.
Responsibility:
Conduct market and competitor analysis within assigned product line(s).
Proactively monitor market trends, sales reports, pricing trends, price volume implications, etc. Provide insights and make recommendations which are aligned with short and long-term business priorities.
Define customer needs; identify new product definitions, and champion product portfolio strategies and product development priorities to support company growth objectives.
Actively participate on relevant core teams and drive smooth product launches with MARCOM and Product Management.
Work with key stakeholders to develop and update marketing collateral
Effectively develop messaging and positioning
Define and implement marketing campaigns with MARCOM and Product Management to promote product adoption
Develop and leverage relationships with key industry thought leaders to initiate, develop, and expand awareness of Extreme Networks in existing and potentially new market opportunities.
Lead development and deployment of necessary training to all relevant parties regarding assigned product line(s).
Anticipate and address needs of various sales and distribution channels and geographies.Job Requirements:
Bachelors degree
5+ years customer and/or marketing related experience in switching products, technology, and market.
Must have excellent written and oral communications.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and project management skills.
Keen interest in technology, the ability to identify and explain technology, product, and market differentiators.
Must possess positive attitude and flexibility to changed projects on short notice.
Ability to work well with customers and business partners at all levels of an organization (CxO).
