Process Improvement Analyst Job in New York 10016, New York US

Currently, our Revenue Management Department is seeking a Process Improvement Analyst.
In this position you will help our organization increase net revenue and secure optimal process efficiencies.
Duties include analyzing business processes to identify inefficiencies; making recommendations to improve procedures, prevent future cash losses and optimize reimbursement; and supporting the development of departmental program strategies to increase revenue reimbursement.
In addition, you will train staff on new processes, computer systems applications, and the value of compliance and efficiency to the organization.
Qualifications include a bachelors degree (or its equivalent) in economics/statistics, finance, business management, healthcare administration or a related field; 3-5 years related healthcare administrative/financial or revenue cycle analysis experience; and the ability to interpret hospital bills and medical records.
A working knowledge of third party reimbursement is required, as is experience in financial analysis, budgeting and business process analysis.
Applicants must also have a comprehensive understanding of audit and reimbursement systems, managed care contracts, rate structures, billing and collection procedures, utilization review, healthcare information systems, outpatient revenue, home health and other related healthcare topics.
Excellent communication and analytical skills are essential to success.
