Primary Responsibility: The Process Engineer, Solidification is expected to be conversant in the physics of Directional Solidification (DSS) process, furnace design and crystal characterization techniques.
The engineer will implement and document the process during both pilot and mass production.
The engineer will also be expected to run all equipment associated with the DSS process and train additional members of the engineering and production teams.
The Engineer, Solidification is expected to work with members of other teams from Manufacturing and R&D to meet the goals of this position.
Job Scope: · Strong analytical problem solving capability to deliver world-class results· Demonstrated ability to operate equipment· Demonstrated ability to create and document processes· Ability to clearly communicate progress· Work together as part of a team· Flexible and willing to relocate to other manufacturing locations Job Related Experience: · Process engineering experience in a HVM environment· CZ Crystal/DSS manufacturing experience preferred Knowledge: · Strong experimental and theoretical knowledge of the physics of silicon wafer properties, production equipment and metrology tools used for solar crystal manufacturing.
Education/Experience: · Masters in Engineering with 2-5 years of experience in silicon crystal manufacturing (very strong hands-on capability).
Communication: · Excellent oral and written communications skills are a must.
