Prinicipal Scientist - Raw Material Center Job in New Jersey US

The Principal Scientist - Raw Materials Center (RMC) will primarily be responsible for the RMC Specification Correction effort.
This individual will provide project management to deliver 200 Raw Material Specification corrections per month.
This includes gathering data from suppliers, coordinating analytical and micro assessment, change control, and specification approvals.
A team of 5+ temporaries will report to this individual.
The analytical and micro assessments will be from functional partners.
This individual will provide status reports to management and drive timelines, cost, and quality standards, lead and develop team of 5+ temporaries and interface with other functions (R&D, QA, Procurement, Supply Chain, etc) to update specifications.
QualificationsA minimum of a Bachelors degree is required.
A focused degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or technical field is required.
7+ years of overall professional experience is required.
Technical experience (ie process development, analytical chemistry, formula development, etc) in Consumer Products is preferred.
Experience managing projects is highly preferred.
Project Management Certification is a plus.
Experience managing others is preferred.
GSS or ETQ experience is a plus.
Powerpoint and Excel skills are a must.
This candidate will be a strong leader with the ability to drive change within the organization and provide transparancy to upper managingment on project progress.
Strong analytical skills and strong written and verbal communication skills are requirement.
The ability to work in a cross-functional matrixed environment is required.
