Bring Your Talent and Experience to the Following Opportunity: The position will contribute and participate across NCS sites and programs, while located at the Fort Wayne office.

The person will generally engage and contribute to multiple programs/pursuits during a year, often several simultaneously.

Project pursuit and execution teams may be geographically dispersed.

This position will be a member of the Fort Wayne region Systems Engineering department, and will report to a Program Investigator and/or other business director/leader to accomplish program goals.

Qualified Systems Engineer candidate will design and develop network-centric Command and Control (C2) Services.

The engineer will contribute to the development of new principles and concepts, while solving unusually complex technical problems.

The qualified candidate will work closely with the software engineering team to support the analysis and mapping of requirements.

Program/product phases include concept development, architecture development, system and subsystem requirements definition and associated performance specifications, proposal preparation; contract execution (technical lead).

Extensive communications, interactions, and presentations to business leaders and customer communities in addition to leading, directing, and coordinating senior systems, hardware and software engineers.

Experience with Earn Value Management.

Raytheon has a mature CMMI infrastructure, combined with Six Sigma techniques; the successful candidate will translate operational and functional requirements into products using Service Oriented Architectures and J2EE technologies.

Developed products well grounded in DODAF and current DoD Centric initiatives and architecture.

Required Skills: - Eight+ years Systems Engineering design and management experience - Experience with Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) - Possess strong analytical, quantitative skills and technical aptitude.

- Experience in Large scale network-centric Software programs using OO A/D tools.

- Proven self-starter with the ability to motivate and influence a highly technical workforce.

- Demonstrated leadership with excellent collaboration and facilitation skills.

- Knowledge and experience in applying the principles of effective inter-personal communication.

Desired Skills: - Army doctrine experience.

- Experience with Networked Command and Control applications.

- Experience with Service Oriented Architectures and J2EE technologies.

- Experience with Military Command and Control applications.

- Experience generating schedules that include both internal and subcontractor deliverables.

- Trained Six Sigma practitioner, certified Six Sigma expert preferred.

- Experience using established development processes based on CMMI principles - Ability to identify ways to improve work products and processes and the ability to articulate and present these ideas effectively.

Existing SECRET or higher security clearance is desirable.

Individual must be able to qualify and obtain SECRET security clearance.

Required Education : Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, information systems or related math/science discipline is required.

Desired Education: Master's degree or higher in engineering or other computer-related science is desired.
