Pricing/Proposal Manager Job in Alexandria, Virginia US

Our client is seeking a Pricing/Proposal Manager in Alexandria, VA. The candidate will have the prime responsibility for developing and costing labor and material estimates in support of Client business pursuits. The responsibilities of this position include the following: Pricing and/or financial management of all aspects of the government services business processTranslate customer requirements (RFPs/SOWs) into detailed tasksCreation and input to multidimensional proposal WBS formatsResearch and analyze historical cost dataProvide evaluation of cost realism and accuracy of bidsCoordinate requirements with multiple disciplines for compilation of cost and schedule estimatesParticipate in development of cost strategy models to support proposal effortsDevelop and support timely reviews of cost proposals with senior managementProvide pricing support to operational groups for IDIQs, GSA schedules and other short notice requirementsSupport pricing efforts for all major types of transactions such as firm fixed price (FFP), Firm Fixed Price Unit Pricing; Time and Materials (T/M), and cost-plus, and IDIQ. Build business solution/proposal pricing for proposals (RFP's) based on the scope of work, direct labor costs, other direct costs (ODC's), and travel costsParticipate in pre-contract discussions, contract negotiations and contract changes that involve pricingEnsure proposals are in accordance with CAS, FAR and GAAP. Regularly present to and interface with all levels of management, assisting them with financial pricing and solution efforts; liaise with operational staff to craft staffing profiles, while spearheading subcontractor price targets and skill mix objectivesEducation and/or Experience:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business/Finance/Accounting or related field5-10 years of proposal pricing experience on federal government services effortsSubstitution of additional relevant experience for stated qualifications may be consideredMust have knowledge of FAR, CAS and DCAA auditsExpertise in pricing various types of efforts, to include FFP, T/M, CPAF, CPFF, etc.
