Plant Controller Job in Lansing 48917, Michigan US
Robert Half Finance & Accounting has partnered with a Lansing-area company to find a Plant Controller for a permanent full-time role.
The Plant Controller will be responsible for the financial reporting with a focus on cost accounting, financial analysis and operational efficiency.
Your responsibilities will include the month-end and year-end closing processing, budgeting, forecasting, and developing standard costs and overhead utilization rates.
The Plant Controller will maintain inventory valuation, cost reports, and variance analysis.
The select candidate will also complete ad-hoc analysis and provide recommendations to management regarding cost reductions, capital projects, alternative costing techniques, and pricing.

A minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on experience as a Controller in a manufacturing operation is required.
Experience with standard costing and knowledge of ERP systems extremely helpful.
Strong oral communication needed and solid problem-solving skills essential for the role.
Project management skills helpful and ability to multi-task as needed.
