Physical Therapist Job in Manhattan 10019, New York US
If you wish to practice physical therapy concentrating on each individual patient (not volume), we are your practice.Our staff PTs evaluate, implement, and determine when to discharge the patient under their care.
Each treatment if for 45 minutes, one-on-one with the patient.
The average treatment load is typically between 40-46 per week, with an absolute maximum of 49 treatments.
Our patient population is primarily Manhattan professionals who value quality care.
The majority of our referrals come from former patients returning and/or recommending their friends and family.
In addition, we have a strong MD referral base consisting of Manhattans finest MDs, DOs, DDS., and D.PMs.We are a manually-oriented practice with an emphasis on therapeutic exercise.
Our primary goal for our patients is pain relief, followed by therapeutic exercises that will prevent a reoccurrence of their symptoms.
By the time of discharge the patient will have a home exercise program which will enable them to self-manage their condition.We give greatest weight to job applicants that have 3+ years of experience (or, if less, an advanced degree), manual skills, neuro-muscular reeducation, functional strengthening, and therapeutic exercise.
While the practice is basically Orthopedic, we have subspecialties in TMJ, Pilates (both for rehabilitation and training), and Womens Health.
