Personal Lines Product Analyst Job in Quincy 02269, Massachusetts US
Personal Lines Research and DevelopmentUnder minimal direction, the Personal Lines Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing statutory, regulatory and industry changes.
This candidate must have a sound command of coverage knowledge for all personal lines of business, be adept at writing policy language, developing proprietary forms and endorsements, and an understanding of the effect of underwriting guidelines to the profitability of personal lines.
Research, recommend, test and implement solutions to complex or unique technical problems or procedures.
In consultation with affected departments, initiates and tests procedural and system changes generated by need, policy change or new programs.
Conducts and attends meetings as department liaison with regard to coverage, procedural and system issues.
Monitors current and developing industry issues and trends.
Position involves a high degree of interaction with other departments within the company.
Performs various other functions as required.
Undergraduate degree or equivalent in related work experience and five or more years of underwriting experience or other experience which demonstrates a thorough knowledge of personal lines underwriting principles is required.
The ideal candidate must be self-motivated and able to work independently within specific time frames.
Must be detail-oriented and skilled in analytical ability to develop solutions to unique and difficult problems that can have a major impact on corporate results.
Must have prior business analysis work experience and demonstrate effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills.
