PepsiCo Beverages Americas (PBA) Transportation Network Analyst Job Job in Chicago, Illinois US
DescriptionThis newly-created position will serve as a PBA/QFS transportation analytical resource, with a focus on Pepsi's US Co-pack and Bottler Distribution Channel.
Leveraging PepsiCo's key Supply Chain systems (ie SAP, ETMS, LDD), perform distributionanalyses in support of ongoing PepsiCo network integration and optimization initiatives.
Support PepsiCo's annual Truckload RFP event by compiling planned Origin-Destination pairs and respective volumes.
This role will report to the Sr. Manager, PBA Transportation and will be based in Chicago, IL.- Perform freight cost analysis to support ongoing network integration and optimization;- Procure freight rates to support sourcing decisions and pricing analyses across PBA Brands (ie Gatorade, Frappuccino, Lipton, Sobe, Ocean Spray);- Conduct Route Guide (ERG) Maintenance to ensure that carrier rates are updated to support operational requirements;- Leverage PepsiCo Supply Chain systems (ie SAP, ETMS, LDD) to actively monitor key Transportation metrics and scorecards; - Engage key stakeholders (ie PBA Transportation Coordinators, PepsiCo Network Coordinators, carriers) to drive performance improvement; - Coordinate with Cass, carriers and RTM's as needed to research and resolve freight payment issues;- Collaborate with newly formed PBA Transportation Resources-East/West to drive synergies across network and consistency of approach and SOP's.
- Compile and report periodic PBA Productivity initiative results.
KEY SCOPE MEASURES OF THIS POSITION- Financial performance to transportation plan.
- Productivity analysis for assigned responsibility items.
- Accurate freight rating and analysis; compliance with rate integrity requirements.
- Transportation capacity and volume planning, both short-term and long-term.
- Carrier performance management.
- On-time execution of transportation (RAD performance across SO's and STO's).
Requirements: - 3+ years of Supply Chain Operations experience required, 2 years of Logistics Analysis experience strongly preferred; - College degree required, preferably in Business/Supply Chain or related field.
- Understanding of the Freight Transportation function, processes, modes and service providers (Truckload, Less-than-Truckload and Intermodal)- Freight invoice reconciliation and payment experience;- Ability to engage and influence stakeholders from a variety of supply chain functions and network sites; strong written and oral communication required;- Proficiency / experience in key PepsiCo Supply Chain systems (i2 TMS, Enterprise Route Guide, SAP) is required;- Proficiency in MS Excel is required, MS Access proficiency preferred; - Capable of multi-tasking and prioritizing time-sensitive decisions;- Strong problem solving, attention to detail and technical skills; - Initiative, a positive attitude and the ability to manage through change.
